Recent study has proved that the reason for an inflated stomach (when you haven’t overeaten) is actually intestinal bacteria reacting to gluten.
If someone is intolerant to gluten, the person may have celiac disease. Gluten is the protein that is found in cereals including rye, barley and wheat.
If someone with celiac disease ingests gluten, the immune system reacts in a way that damages the small intestine. This might cause abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea and fatigue, among many other things.
So, what should you do?
Stop ingesting gluten for several days. If you see any improvements, continue with this method. However, if you don’t notice any improvements, you need to immediately consult your doctor, because your problem isn’t related to gluten.
Lots of people carry extra weight as a result of an allergic reaction to gluten. Therefore, there is no reason to not try this type of diet.
